OK guys, a quick update on the twist-lock fit!
The mechanism has now been tested on the Bambu Lab X1C, H2D, P1S, and Anycubic Kobra S1.
A member reported an issue with the lock when printing at 0.12 mm layer height, so I decided to investigate further. I went down to 0.1 mm and observed how different layer heights affect the lock's end stop.
I noticed that when switching from 0.2 mm to 0.1 mm layer height while using the same files, the lock can sometimes overshoot its intended position. This can depend on calibration, the machine, filament, extrusion settings, and other factors.
To compensate for this, I've added two more R2 parts with tighter offsets. I've now test-printed these quite a few times, and the fit is looking good. If you've experienced issues with the lock overshooting its intended position, these new versions should address the problem.
The only change is tighter offsets on the R2 parts.
Quick recap:
0.2 mm layer height: Use the regular files.
0.1 mm layer height: Use R2_S or R2_XS.
For those of you using resin printers, if you're experiencing similar issues, please send me a message so we can do some more testing.
I really want to get this mechanism as close to perfect as possible and make sure all printing options are properly covered. Thanks to everyone who's testing the files and sharing feedback. It really helps improve the design!
